Stumbled across this restaurant and did not disappoint. Food was excellent and staff advised what the favourite dishes were. The duck and chicken paprika was delightful. All staff were very friendly and attentive without being pushy. When the dishes were brought over, the staff were all very knowledgeable with explaining what was in each dish. Very delicious cocktails too!.

Incredible value for a Michelin star experience. Elevated and elegant whilst also having a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend everything, but the highlights were definitely the steak tartare and rib eye steak (although I have a personal preference for everything steak). A real differentiating factor has to be the service. Staff were attentive and made every effort to make our anniversary feel special. They all speak excellent English and explain the dishes very well. The food is beautifully presented to perfection, and the taste matches the appearance..

We ordered the potato to share as entrée between two. The flavours in the potato dish was delicious and delicately presented, strong umami flavours. The pork cutlet was still moist on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. The chicken paprikash was a standout dish, the chicken so juicy and the sauce and potato salad was the perfect partnership with the chicken. Overall a really good restaurant and would come back. The food is extremely good. I ordered a duck breast with plum, that’s just too good to me. The duck is not dry and it served with the plum jam which is refreshing the flavor into your month. A bit of sourness can awaken the taste. Also it served with crispy spring roll stuffed with sort of brown rice (I guess?) and also taste earthy. The dessert is perfectly closing the whole experience. The cheese dough just nailed it with the berries. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended..

I had the best dining experience at Hoppa during my visit to Budapest. Their restaurant has beautiful decor, great music, and the best tartar I've had in my life. The tartar was beautifully presented with different ingredients that all complemented each other so well and made for a great flavour combination. I had their chicken paprikash as a main and really loved it. It's a simple dish but small details such as the vinaigrette on the salad leaves made it memorable to me. Mind you that it's also quite a heavy dish with the cheesy flour dumplings. I had great service from Balazs who was very kind and helpful in guiding me through the dishes. I will definitely be back here next time I'm in Budapest..
